CEU’s new building was completed in 2016. Designed by an award winning, Irish architectural firm, O’Donnell & Tuomey.
The project’s central ambition was to redefine the relationship between the university and the city of Budapest, Hungary, through establishing new connections between the campus and the surrounding urban environment. The approximately 900 m2/
9600 SF of Landscaped Roof Gardens, played an important role in reducing heat gain in the buildings and enhance the environmental sustainability of the project.
Our company, BLL, provided the perfect solution with the new patent pending, green paving system, Black Locust Permeable Proflow Pavers®, to ensure the low carbon strategy of the project.
