Siding
Black Locust wood makes an excellent siding material. It requires very little if any maintenance and lasts for 50+ years without any decay. Black Locust wood will outlast pressure treated lumber with none of the harmful chemicals used with pressure treated lumber.

Center For Global Conservation
Black Locust is used extensively as a siding material in the new Center For Global Conservation at the Bronx Zoo in New York. We worked very closely with the architect and building contractor to provide premium grade Black Locust wood. The wood will age to a uniform patina.

Bronxscape Black Locust Siding
This false siding and bench wall was installed at the Bronxscape project by a group of students at the Parsons School of Design for the Design Workshop 2008 project. The project provided a 3,500 square foot rooftop garden and greenhouse for a facility that houses young adults who are aging out of foster care or are homeless.
