Black Locust wood makes an excellent decking material. It requires very little if any maintenance and lasts for 50+ years without any decay. Black Locust wood will outlast pressure treated lumber with none of the harmful chemicals used with pressure treated lumber.

Black Locust is used extensively as a building material at the Queens Botanical Garden. We supplied this decking wood for the entrance to the new Visitors Center - a building that received LEED Platinum certification.
